Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981
Requires employers to provide adequate and appropriate first aid equipment, facilities, and personnel to ensure employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. The number and type of first aiders required depends on a workplace risk assessment.
All employers in England, Scotland, and WalesEarly Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework
Requires at least one person who has a current paediatric first aid certificate to be on the premises and available at all times when children are present. Certificates must be renewed every three years and must be from an Ofqual-regulated qualification.
Nurseries, childminders, pre-schools, and early years settingsThe Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
